Pre-K Threes and Pre-K Fours
CCDC - Where play is a child's work . . .
The Pre-K curriculum utilizes Frog Street Press and Alpha Tales along with various thematic units. Themes will include Bible stories and Bible verses. Some typical units are School, A New Beginning; Space; I’m Me, I’m Special; Texas & Our Country; Dinosaurs; and Community Helpers.
For Texas & Our Country week, we have “Rodeo Day.” The children sometimes will dress in western attire and participate in our pretend rodeo. For Community Helpers week, we invite the firemen and their trucks to visit the school. During Thanksgiving week we celebrate Colonial days. The children participate in activities that relate to colonial times.
This is just a sampling of the fun and exciting learning situations that CCDC children experience.
Children must be able to use the restroom independently to attend Pre-K classes meeting 3 or more days per week.
