Pre-K Fives
Pre-K Fives classes are offered for 5-year-old children who are not ready for Kindergarten. The curriculum is from Houghton Mifflin and incorporates Phonics, Whole Language (big books, journals, etc), and Learning Lab (manipulatives). We also include individualized instruction, math, science, Spanish, field trips and special letter/theme experiences.
- 5 years old by September 1
- 14 children/1 teacher and 1 aide
- 5-day program: Monday through Friday
Kindergarten
Kindergarten utilizes a combination of teaching methods to accommodate the learning styles of our children. The curriculum is from Lippincott and uses Phonics (individual letter books, letter recognition, and letter sound, and blending letters into words), Whole Language (big books, class and individually made books, inventive spelling, and word recognition/sight words), and Learning Lab (manipulatives).
We also include individualized instruction, math, science, geography, Spanish, field trips and special letter/theme experiences (cooking, airplane trip, pajama party day, hilarious hat day, etc) to provide high interest and promote a love of learning.

- 10 children/1 teacher
- 5-day program: Monday through Friday
